Utah State’s Taggart leaves field in an ambulance after making a tackle

Utah State linebacker Harrison Taggart was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after suffering an injury while making a tackle during Saturday's game against No. 17 Utah. The incident occurred in the second quarter of the match. Taggart, who has already amassed five tackles for Utah State in the game, entered the ambulance with his arm raised.

The ambulance transported the injured player to University of Utah Hospital on the campus. Utah State authorities reported that Taggart is currently under concussion protocols and has sustained a neck injury. The team's leading tackler was seen leaning in to tackle Utah running back Daniel Bray, but his head struck Bray's knee. Despite going limp, Taggart's legs and arms continued to move slightly.

Both teams' players kneeled as the medical team prepared to remove Taggart from the field. The Aggies, who were trailing 16-0 at the moment, gathered around their team captain as he was loaded onto a stretcher. Taggart had earned 13 tackles in the first two games of the season.
