IPOH, September 19 - Tragedy struck on the pre-dawn roads of Ipoh today as a collision involving 15 vehicles claimed the lives of three motorcyclists and left nine others injured. The accident, which claimed the lives of two 19-year-olds and a 20-year-old, occurred around 3:35am on Jalan Jelapang-Ampang. According to Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Najib Hamzah, all 15 vehicles involved were traveling towards Tambun from Meru when the crash took place.

Nine victims, aged between 19 and 25, were taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
