Thohir opens House of Indonesia for 2026 Asian Games contingent

NAGOYA: Despite minor transport and accommodation coordination issues, the Malaysian contingent at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games is facing no major obstacles, according to Chef de Mission Sumali Reduan. These operational glitches are common at large multi-sport events and are being swiftly resolved. There was a brief communication breakdown possibly involving the Head of Delegation, but the situation has been addressed.

So far, athletes from 14 sports have arrived in Japan, and Malaysia's overall preparations are running smoothly, with no food supply issues reported. While heavy rain and minor flooding have raised concerns, they are not affecting the athletes' preparations as of now. Sumali praised the cooperative efforts between the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organising Committee and the National Olympic Committee, which have helped resolve issues promptly, ensuring the athletes can focus on their performance.
