Sharjah Safari to reopen on September 21 for fifth season

Sharjah Safari is set to reopen its gates on September 21, marking the beginning of its fifth season. The popular family-friendly destination, which had been closed since May of this year, will once again offer an animal adventure experience to visitors. Home to over 120 species of animals and 50,000 creatures, the park boasts 12 distinct areas inspired by Africa. These areas are designed to represent various terrains, including the Niger Valley, Sahel, Moremi, Savannah, Ngorongoro, Kalahari, and Tswalu.

To make the most of the visit, visitors are advised to pack essentials such as hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, comfortable walking shoes, binoculars, a camera, and a reusable water bottle. There are several ways to explore the park, with options ranging from booking a vehicle for a group to purchasing single tickets.

For group tours, there are various vehicle options available. These range from a six-seater for Dh1,500 to a mini-bus with 15 seats for Dh3,500. These vehicles come with private tours that take you through different landscapes, including the Niger Valley, Sahel, Moremi, Savannah, Ngorongoro, Kalahari, and Tswalu.

Alternatively, visitors can opt for single tickets, which come in Gold, Silver, and Bronze varieties. A Silver ticket provides access to a shared vehicle that guides you through similar landscapes, as well as a stop at Zanzibar Village for dining and a bird show. A Gold ticket offers all these benefits, along with a private guide and a walk through the Serengeti Habitat.

A Bronze ticket allows for a walking tour, exploring Birds of Africa, East African Islands, and Boma, as well as a stroll through Zanzibar Village for a meal.

Getting to Sharjah Safari is straightforward, as the park is located on the Sharjah-Khorfakkan Road, approximately 5km from Al Dhaid city. The park operates from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.
