Pune Metro, Sancheti & Apollo Hospitals Launch Emergency Medical Services At Two Metro Stations

Pune Metro, in partnership with Sancheti Hospital and Apollo Hospitals, has introduced emergency medical services at two metro stations - Mahatma Phule Mandai and Swargate - in anticipation of the large crowds expected during the Ganesh festival. The primary goal is to offer immediate medical assistance to passengers and devotees who may encounter sudden illnesses or injuries while traveling or participating in the festivities.

At both stations, specialized medical facilities have been established, staffed by expert doctors, nurses, and equipped with necessary medical supplies to handle any emergencies. This service has already been instrumental, as devotees who sustained minor injuries during a crowd-related incident at Swargate Metro Station received prompt first aid from the medical team.

On-site care is limited to wound dressing, bandaging, and basic emergency treatments, which allows injured passengers to receive timely relief without needing to rush to a hospital.

Pune Metro officials emphasize that the well-being and safety of devotees are of utmost importance during the festival. They have arranged for the necessary response to medical emergencies, ensuring a smooth and secure journey for passengers amidst the heavy festive rush.
