Pirates All-Star Braxton Ashcraft will not pitch again this season because of arm fatigue

Pittsburgh Pirates' star right-handed pitcher, Braxton Ashcraft, will not pitch again this season due to arm fatigue. The 29-year-old was placed on the 15-day injured list on September 10, with hopes of a late-season return. Following a thorough examination by Texas Rangers physician Dr. Keith Meister, Ashcraft has been advised to start preparing for the 2027 season.

Ashcraft finished his first full major league season with a 14-6 record and a 3.65 ERA over 28 starts. Despite this, he remains unfazed, stating that he never had any concerns about his arm discomfort being due to structural issues.
