Pete Golding, the current head coach of Ole Miss, recently spoke candidly about his relationship with former Ole Miss head coach and current LSU coach, Lane Kiffin. He expressed appreciation for how Kiffin treated him and his family throughout the process, stating that they became close friends.

Golding emphasized that while there may be some professional disagreements, there is no underlying animosity between the two. He highlighted that in the sports business, coaches and players often make decisions based on what's best for their careers and families, and he doesn't feel the need to judge Kiffin's decisions. Golding, who took over for Kiffin at Ole Miss after he left for LSU last year, acknowledged that coaches have business decisions to make, and he would not be in his position without Kiffin's support.
