No. 2 Georgia rolls over Arkansas 45-17 in Southeastern Conference opener

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Chauncey Bowens scored three touchdowns and No. 2 Georgia dominated Arkansas in a 45-17 victory on Saturday. The Georgia Bulldogs opened their Southeastern Conference season with a commanding performance. Holding Arkansas to just 17 yards on the ground, Georgia led 21-3 at halftime, never needing to rely on passing.

Quarterback Gunner Stockton completed 10 of 13 passes for 147 yards with a touchdown, adding 97 yards rushing, including a crucial 62-yard run that set up Bowens' second touchdown. Arkansas struggled to move the ball, with KJ Jackson and AJ Hill providing limited success. The Razorbacks failed to generate significant yardage on the ground, with seven players combined for only 17 total rushing yards.

Nick Frazier led Georgia on their first touchdown drive, completing a six-play, 62-yard sequence that set up the first score. Bowens dominated on the ground, rushing for 39 yards on 11 carries. The Bulldogs capitalized on a 61-yard touchdown pass from Stockton to Craig Dandridge Jr. in the fourth quarter to extend their lead. Arkansas finally scored twice in the fourth quarter, with Sutton Smith rushing for a touchdown and Gunner Jackson throwing a two-yard TD pass to Ty Lockwood, but it wasn't enough to overcome the dominant Georgia defense.
