Mini Mathur, Salman Khan and the ‘intimidating woman’ stereotype: ‘I didn’t like that comment’

During her appearance on the show, Mini welcomed Salman Khan's presence, noting that his arrival coincided with a crucial juncture just before the finale. She appreciated his candid sharing of personal experiences, which she believed provided a necessary boost to the house and lightened the mood with humor.

However, Mini expressed discomfort with Salman Khan's comment about her husband, Kabir Khan, being "scared" of her. She acknowledged her admiration for Salman but clarified that the remark didn't sit well with her. Mini explained that she had often been viewed as "Kabir's better half," and it was rewarding to see Salman interact with her in a different light on the show. Her experience on Alliance allowed viewers to glimpse a side of her personality that had previously been less visible.

Dr Rimpa Sarkar, a wellness expert from Mumbai, pointed out that such comments, even when intended humorously, can perpetuate stereotypes about women's behavior.

She emphasized that labeling a woman as intimidating or someone a man should be "scared" of can reinforce the notion that strong, confident women are undesirable traits. Dr Rimpa stressed that healthy environments should encourage women to express themselves assertively without framing these qualities as something men need to fear.
