Jonathan lands at Ebonyi airport, calls for greater patronage

Former President Jonathan touched down at the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport in Ebonyi State on Saturday and called for increased patronage of the facility. The state government expressed its hope for airlines, private aircraft operators and other air users to take advantage of the airport's strategic importance. Upon his arrival, Jonathan was welcomed by the Deputy Governor Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, members of the State Executive Council and senior government officials.

The Deputy Governor escorted him to Boki Local Government Area in Cross River State for a function. According to a statement by the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Chief Ikeuwa Omebeh, Jonathan's presence reaffirms the airport's significance as a gateway into Ebonyi State. The government is committed to further developing and utilizing the facility for economic and developmental benefits, including improved connectivity, investment, tourism, commerce, and the movement of people and goods.
