Joanderson Brito believes the upcoming UFC 331 fight against Giga Chikadze could be the one to propel his career forward. Brito, who has won all but one of his seven UFC fights, views this matchup as a new era in his career. Chikadze, who has only been finished twice in his MMA career, is on a three-fight losing streak and is looking to snap that losing skid.

Brito respects Chikadze's experience but feels the UFC is giving him a chance to build his name by fighting the veteran. The Brazilian fighter isn't focused on rankings and is more concerned with maintaining his activity in the organization, aiming to fight more often. A win against Chikadze could secure Brito a spot in the featherweight rankings.

However, he is open to any post-fight callout, including a potential bout with David Onama, who hasn't fought since November 2025.
