Iowa State CB Jaheim Singletary taken off field on backboard after colliding with a teammate

On Saturday, Iowa State cornerback Jaheim Singletary was taken off the field on a backboard following a collision with a teammate during the first quarter of Iowa State's game against Bowling Green. The incident occurred as Singletary and linebacker Willie Breland III made contact behind the play, while Bowling Green's Winn Sharp approached the end zone for a 59-yard touchdown.

Breland suffered no injuries in the incident. Trainers and medical personnel attended to Singletary before he was placed on the backboard and escorted off the field in a cart. After the incident, both Iowa State and Bowling Green coaches met at midfield, with the Bowling Green coach offering a nod of support to his opponent. Once the Cyclones completed an initial assessment of their teammate, they returned to the field to resume play.
