Ignite Social Enterprise targets global market for Ghanaian shea butter

Ignite Social Enterprise Limited has unveiled plans to expand its reach in the global market by promoting Ghanaian shea butter through its digital platform. At the UPSA 1000 & Ghana Entrepreneurship Conference, Regional Consultant Paul Elikem Dovi discussed the company's approach to partnering with Ghanaian businesses, with a focus on agriculture and manufacturing.

The company intends to prioritize the promotion of Ghana's shea butter, alongside locally manufactured watches. Dovi emphasized that this initiative will enhance the variety and competitiveness of Ignite's products, as well as bolster the standing of Ghanaian brands worldwide. The company's mission is to democratize business ownership and empower micro-entrepreneurs to achieve financial independence through a people-centric, social e-commerce model.

This platform transforms curated wellness and lifestyle products into tools for self-reliance, backed by digital tools, training, and an AI-powered learning platform. As the main sponsor of this year's conference, Ignite Social Enterprise Limited urged young Ghanaians to establish low-cost, sustainable businesses that bring positive change to their communities.

The five-day event, which commenced on September 14th at the Kofi Ohene-Konadu Auditorium of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), gathered young entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry professionals.
