Higher EPS pension: What MP wants from PM Modi

Ajeet Madhavrao Gopchade, a Rajya Sabha member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking intervention to resolve pending issues concerning higher EPS pension. Gopchade had previously questioned the Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS) in Parliament earlier this year, and while he received assurances from Parliament, the matter remains unresolved.

Despite assurances from the government that the Supreme Court's decision on higher EPS pension, made on November 4, 2022, has been uniformly implemented, many pensioners still face procedural problems and many cases are pending in various Indian courts. Gopchade is urging the Prime Minister to intervene and resolve these issues.
