The Crimson began their comeback late in the second quarter, scoring 14 quick points and taking a 14-7 lead with 53 seconds left in the first half thanks to Bailey's 23-yard reverse play.

DJ Thomas then added to Harvard's lead with an interception and a 30-yard return, making it 21-7 with just 18 seconds remaining in the half. New Hampshire's defense showcased its prowess with two interceptions, one by Xaden Benson and another by Xaviah Bascon. The Crimson maintained their lead with a short field goal in the third quarter, and Bascon added an additional touchdown run for a total of 21 points.
