EPL: Why Arsenal lost 3-0 to Brighton – Arteta

Arsenal's champions' winning start to the season came to an end as they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday. Manager Mikel Arteta has attributed the loss to "technical errors" his team committed during the match. The Seagulls took an early two-goal lead, with Pascal Gross and Charalampos Kostoulas scoring before Chema Andres added a third after the break.

Arteta expressed his disappointment, saying, "I am really disappointed. In the first 20 or 30 minutes the number of technical errors put us constantly under pressure. It was all related to the start." He acknowledged the team's progress since the World Cup but emphasized the need for improvement, stating, "It’s a big lesson to learn.

What the team has done since the World Cup has been remarkable. But today there is a lot to learn." Arteta credited Brighton for their performance, noting, "Credit to Brighton for what they have done. I think we were very far from our level. The international break means we have more time to swallow because it’s very, very painful."
