The Sharks are speaking out against gender-based violence and femicide, with four of their star players delivering a powerful message across South Africa. In a poignant video shared on the team's social media, Vincent Koch, Makazole Mapimpi, Phepsi Buthelezi, and Nick Hatton unite to condemn senseless killing and violence targeting women.

Speaking in Afrikaans, Afrikaans, isiXhosa, and English, the players declare that gender-based violence continues to devastate families and communities across the nation. They stand in solidarity with every woman and child affected, pledging to live safely and freely without fear. Koch, in Afrikaans, emphasizes that the killing of women and girls must stop, while Mapimpi, in isiXhosa, stresses men's responsibility to speak up and never look away.

Buthelezi, in isiZulu, expresses support for families who have lost loved ones, assuring that they stand with them, see them, and hear them.
