Denmark and Greenland expressed satisfaction with the beginning of an agreement reached with the United States, despite the lack of details about the text. Following President Donald Trump's surprise announcement, who claimed on Friday that the pact grants Washington "permanent control over the security and other needs" of the Arctic territory, the Danish and Greenlandic authorities wanted to join in the optimism, albeit with a key caveat.
