Dar takes notice of alleged irregularities in document attestation system at foreign ministry

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Turkish Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu on Friday to discuss coordination for upcoming joint meetings. During the meeting, Dar brought to the ambassador's attention concerns over alleged irregularities in Pakistan's document attestation system, specifically focusing on the apostille process.

In response, Dar has formed a three-person inquiry committee tasked with examining the verification process within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to determine if any misuse or irregularities have occurred. The committee's mandate includes reviewing the involvement of courier services in the system. Dar reiterated Pakistan's commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation with Turkey across various key areas, emphasizing dialogue and diplomacy as the preferred means to resolve regional disputes and ensure lasting peace, stability, and prosperity.
