Cyberabad Police plan to deploy single camera system to detect multiple violations on Hyderabad’s ORR

Cyberabad Police plan to introduce a single camera system capable of detecting multiple traffic violations on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road (ORR). The Multi Violation Detection System (MVDS) utilizes video analytics and automated detection to identify various types of infractions. During a recent review on September 18, Commissioner M. Ramesh examined the system's real-time surveillance capabilities at the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) Control Room.

The MVDS differs from traditional enforcement systems, as it can identify multiple violations simultaneously, potentially streamlining traffic police operations while enhancing overall road safety. The Commissioner emphasized the system's potential to improve traffic discipline and reduce accident rates on the high-speed corridor.

The project is a collaborative effort between Cyberabad Police and HGCL, with officials from both organizations participating in the review.
