C.V. Raman Nagar residents urge MLA to oppose elevated corridors project

Residents of C.V. Raman Nagar have written a letter to their MLA, S. Raghu, urging him to stop the elevated corridors project being carried out by Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure Ltd. (B-SMILE). This group is part of a larger campaign pushing the government to cancel the project and its ongoing tenders. Two weeks ago, the same activists held a discussion about the project, titled “Dear DK, Flyover Yaake?”

They are proposing that the ₹13,000-crore budget for the project be used instead for scientifically proven transportation alternatives. A delegation from C.V. Raman Nagar met with Mr. Raghu and handed over their concerns in a detailed memorandum. They also reached out to Shanthinagar MLA N.A. Haris via telephone, sharing the same letter.

The activist coalition intends to contact other lawmakers whose areas fall along the routes of the proposed elevated corridors.
