Brighton end Arsenal's perfect start to the season with comfortable win

Arsenal suffered their maiden Premier League loss of the season, succumbing to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion. Pascal Gross put Brighton ahead in the 31st minute, followed by Charalampas Kostoulas scoring a second goal just before halftime. Chema Andres added the third goal in the 51st minute, displaying why the Seagulls lead the league in scoring.

The match was particularly significant for Brighton, as they wore a special kit marking their 125th anniversary. This win dropped Arsenal to second place in the table, trailing Manchester City by goal difference, while Brighton climbed to third position on 10 points. Newcastle United, on the other hand, bounced back from a poor start with a 2-1 win against Hull City.

Joe Willock opened the scoring for Newcastle in the third minute, and Lewis Hall added a second four minutes later. Mohamed-Ali Cho pulled one back for Hull in the 67th minute, but Newcastle secured their second victory of the season, moving up to eighth place, level on eight points with Hull and Leeds United. Everton also secured a win, defeating Ipswich Town 1-0.

Thierno Barry put Everton ahead in the 11th minute, but they were left with 10 men when Abdul Fatawu was sent off in the second half. Despite this setback, Everton maintained their unbeaten record heading into the international break, climbing to fifth place on nine points.
