Bhiwandi: Torrent Power Celebrates 20 Years Of ‘Torrent Cha Bappa’ With Ganesh Festival, Cultural Events And Community Outreach

Bhiwandi, Maharashtra - Torrent Power Limited, the electricity distribution franchisee in Bhiwandi since 2007, commemorated the 20th anniversary of its annual Ganesh festival, 'Torrent Cha Bappa'. The festival, celebrated with religious enthusiasm and cultural programs, emphasized community involvement over the past two decades.

Torrent Power has extended its efforts beyond electricity distribution to include social, cultural, and community initiatives like Ganeshotsav, Ramadan iftar gatherings, Janmashtami Dahi Handi celebrations, blood donation camps, old-age homes programs, nutrition initiatives for tribal children, de-addiction awareness sessions, and public awareness activities.

During the five-day celebration, a large number of consumers and residents participated in the Ganesh pandal to offer prayers. A notable highlight of the festival was a competition titled 'Five Temples, Five Stories, One Festival', where teams presented the cultural and historical heritage of five Ashtavinayak temples - Varadvinayak at Mahad, Mahaganapati at Ranjangaon, Vighneshwar at Ozar, Chintamani at Theur, and Girijatmaj at Lenyadri. Additionally, an eco-friendly Ganesh idol-making competition, along with rangoli, singing, and dance competitions, showcased the participants' enthusiasm.
