Bersatu being courted by various parties, says Azmin

Bersatu secretary-general Azmin Ali revealed that various parties are showing interest in forming an alliance with the party to counter rivals like Umno. During the Bersatu 10th anniversary celebration, Ali stated that numerous parties are monitoring Bersatu's activities and have extended their regards. He highlighted the party's use of the Petaling Jaya City Council's Dewan Sivik for a party event, which he saw as a symbol of good relations with Pakatan Harapan in Selangor.

This marks the first time Bersatu has been granted permission to utilize the venue. Earlier, Melaka PH chairman Adly Zahari hinted at negotiations being finalized with parties sharing similar goals, including Bersatu, to create a "PH Plus" alliance for the upcoming Melaka election. The talks were reportedly based on decisions made at a PH presidential council meeting.

Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin acknowledged that the party cannot stand alone in the 16th general election but emphasized the need to select potential allies based on shared principles. In his speech, Muhyiddin assured party members that while Bersatu would seek allies for survival, it would not compromise its core values. "Those potential allies must respect Bersatu's struggle, appreciate its contributions, and possess principles and ambitions aligned with ours," he stated.

Muhyiddin also mentioned that Bersatu has discussed potential electoral cooperation with Muda, and Putra has expressed openness to working with the party.
