Baniyas tops Round 7 opener in Abu Dhabi

Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club claimed the top spot on the opening day of Round 7 of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship held at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, with Al Jazira Jiu-Jitsu Club in second place and M. O. D UAE holding third position. The three-day Gi round featured competitors from the Under-18, Adults and Masters divisions, with results across the categories contributing to the club standings as the championship nears its concluding round.

Baniyas entered the competition already leading the overall Gi standings, surpassing Palms Sports – Team 777 and Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club. The tightly contested events across the three categories on Friday further solidified Baniyas' position as the championship approached its critical stage, during which opportunities to regain points became scarce, and the performances of athletes in various age and weight categories gained greater significance.
