(Asiad) Boxer, table tennis player to carry N. Korean flag at opening ceremony

NAGOYA, Japan - North Korean boxer Hwang Hyo-sun and table tennis player U Tae-ryong have been chosen to carry the country's flag at the opening ceremony of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Saturday, organizers announced. The Asian Games committee released a list of flag bearers representing the 46 participating nations, including a refugee team, for the Games opening ceremony at Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium in Nagoya.

Hwang, who will compete in the women's 55-kilogram event, and U, who will participate in various table tennis events, will represent North Korea, known as DPR Korea during the Asian Games. North Korea, with 107 athletes in 14 sports, will enter the stadium eighth, following China in alphabetical order. South Korea will march 16th, while Japan will enter last.
