Malaysia's unity government does not hinge on every party agreeing on every issue, according to PKR deputy head Kamil Munim. The true measure of a coalition government lies in its ability to manage differences without collapsing national stability. PKR deputy head Kamil Munim stated that the main priority right now is ensuring the government continues to function, reforms persist, the economy is strengthened, and public concerns are addressed.

He emphasized that political differences should not lead to losing focus on a far greater responsibility.

Recently, DAP's Loke Siew Fook announced he will be the party's sole leader to step down, despite some wanting the party to leave the Cabinet entirely. Loke emphasized that his decision was 'responsible'. Kamil expressed respect for Loke's decision and acknowledged that DAP's Senior Minister is committed to the unity government and will ensure party members still in Cabinet continue fulfilling their responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Karim argued that Pakatan Harapan (PH) needs to take a more offensive approach following Najib's conditional pardon. Karim felt that allowing Najib to serve the remaining part of his sentence at home is a significant opportunity for PH as it heads into the upcoming election. He explained that this decision could also reignite debates around 1MDB and Najib's record during his tenure, which were major issues during the 2018 general election.

Karim noted that the recent pardon may change Malaysia's political landscape, with PH now having a 'responsibility' from Najib's pardon. He added that Melaka's PRN may be an early field to see the impact, with the larger field being the 2016 general election. Karim also questioned the 'clean and trustworthy' narrative from Umno and PAS if they were to cooperate in the upcoming election.
