Amreli man kills 5-year-old daughter, stuffs body in fridge, ends life: Police

A man in Amreli, Kishor Natha Dhanak, allegedly killed his five-year-old daughter, Himanshi, and stuffed her body in the refrigerator due to severe financial constraints, according to police. The incident occurred in Hadiya village of Savarkundla, where Dhanak worked as a construction site supervisor. Dhanak's wife, Manju, filed a First Information Report (FIR) stating that she left for her parents' home on September 15 while Himanshi and Dhanak were at home.

Dhanak allegedly called Manju on September 16, claiming he was going to collect a pending payment and that she should leave for home after his call. When Manju didn't receive a response after six hours, she sent her brother to check on Dhanak. Upon arriving at Hadiya, they found Dhanak's body hanging in the room and Himanshi's body in the refrigerator.

Three suicide notes were discovered, two of which detailed Dhanak's financial struggles and his confession of killing his daughter. The DySP of Savarkundla Division mentioned that the family had decorated the house festively, despite the somber circumstances, as they loved the child dearly. Further investigation is ongoing.
