Akpabio shares how wife survived six months in coma

Nigeria's Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, shared a remarkable story about his wife's recovery from a six-month coma caused by a botched operation. In an interview with St Padre Pio TV/Radio in Italy, Akpabio recounted how his wife Unoma was in a critical condition, described as "98 per cent dead," after the malfunction. He sought the intercession of Mother Mary and Saint Padre Pio, making a sign of the cross on her with a picture of the saint.

Miraculously, Unoma regained consciousness, leaving the hospital still uncertain about the event. Akpabio emphasized his strong belief in the intercession of Saint Padre Pio, and he described the site as a "holy ground." The senator's visit was his tenth to the prayer ground, and he used the occasion to offer prayers for Nigeria's peace and security, particularly addressing banditry and terrorism.
