K.T. Rama Rao, the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has called for urgent government action to ensure the Palamuru district receives an equitable share of Krishna water. Speaking to reporters in Wanaparthy district, Rao stated that the BRS would protest in the streets if the government continued to neglect the water allocation to the region.

He urged the administration to utilize all pumps from the Kalwakurthy, Bhima, Nettempadu, Koilsagar, and Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Schemes, as well as the Jurala project's ayacut area to address water scarcity. Responding to a land survey conducted in Erravelli and Janwada, Rao indicated that if the Congress party were in power, they could take legal action against BRS leaders for any irregularities committed.

He also requested the High Court to disqualify other defected MLAs who have publicly joined the Congress party after defecting from BRS, as the anti-defection law applies to all cases. Rao maintained that the merger process followed constitutional provisions, and the High Court's decision was incorrect in clearing the path for the defected MLA, Danam Nagender, to contest the Secunderabad Lok Sabha election on a Congress ticket.
