21,000 unfinished 2BHKs in Hyderabad (CURE) completed; beneficiary selection by end of October

In Hyderabad, the construction of 21,000 unfinished double bedroom houses (2BHK) has been completed, as reported by Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy in a video conference with district Collectors and officials from various departments. The 2BHK houses are distributed across 26 areas within the Core Urban Region (CURE). The beneficiaries will be selected by the end of September, according to Reddy.

People living within five to seven kilometers of these houses will be prioritized for selection. The previous government left the projects incomplete, and the current administration is ensuring that basic amenities like water, electricity, and sanitation are provided by the end of October. People who were previously allotted the 2BHKs but are not residing in them may receive another notice, which, if not responded to, will result in the cancellation of the allotment and selection of a new beneficiary.
