You Can Now Restyle Your Room with New Pinterest AI Feature

Pinterest has unveiled a new AI-powered feature named Restyle, enabling users to re-design their rooms and compare various furniture and decor choices within their own photos. This beta feature, accessible in the United States and Canada, is powered by Pinterest Intelligence. With Restyle, users can modify rooms by adding wall art, furniture, accessories, and other home decor items, including those found in Pinterest images.

Users have the ability to alter lighting, wall colors, plants, and other room elements, with individual items selectable for replacement, removal, or further editing. The feature can also transform a room's appearance based on a chosen design style, such as bohemian, industrial, whimsical, or dopamine-inspired interiors. Pinterest Intelligence, a combination of Nvidia Blackwell GPUs, Nvidia Dynamo, open-source AI models, and Pinterest-developed technology, drives Restyle, enhancing the Pinterest Assistant's visual search capabilities.

This technology aims to transform users' searches into signals for AI-powered discovery and shopping. While AI-powered room redesign tools exist, Pinterest is introducing this capability within a platform where users frequently save home design and decor ideas, potentially making it easier for users to transition from inspiration to purchase.

The feature could help connect saved Pins with purchases by allowing users to visualize products in their own spaces before making a decision. Restyle was previewed during Pinterest's annual Pinterest Presents event and will soon be available more broadly across other regions.
