Xbox Aware of 'Phantom Achievement' Glitch That's Robbing Players of 100% Completion

Xbox players are experiencing an issue where certain games are preventing them from achieving 100% completion, despite having collected all visible achievements. This so-called "phantom achievement" glitch is likely due to time-limited, 0 Gamerscore challenges, which were common in Xbox titles. These challenges, which were short-lived and provided extra achievements beyond the game's base list, did not appear in the game's main achievement list or count towards the 1,000 Gamerscore.

Xbox fan DarkIxion reported on Twitter that games such as Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, Call of Duty: Ghosts, as well as non-gaming apps like Netflix and YouTube, were affected. Xbox engineering lead Eden Marie confirmed they are aware of the problem and are looking into the cause. While Microsoft has yet to finalize any changes to Xbox Game Pass, the company is reportedly working on an equivalent to PlayStation's Platinum trophy feature for the future.
