Vibe Review: Kunal Kemmu, Preity Zinta's Film Starts On A High But Loses Its Spark After Interval

Kunal Kemmu's directorial debut, "Vibe," opens strong, offering a blend of comedy, action, friendship, patriotism, and a touch of thriller. Kunal Kemmu plays the lead, Hardik, who transitions from rehab to a software job with the help of his friend Bugs, played by Sparsh Shrivastava. A terrorist threat quickly thrusts them into a mission to safeguard the nation alongside Preity Zinta's character, Madam H. The first act of "Vibe" excels, delivering genuine laughs, engaging camaraderie between Hardik and Bugs, and maintaining a steady pace that keeps viewers curious about the resolution after the interval.

However, the film's momentum falters after the break. While the performances are solid, particularly Kemmu's multifaceted portrayal and the promising debut of Vanshika Dhir as Kareena, the chemistry between Kemmu and Shrivastava stands out as a highlight. Nevertheless, the music, though passable, fails to make a significant impact.

The storyline, while ambitious, suffers from lackluster execution in the second half, becoming overly convoluted and losing the comedic edge that initially captivated audiences.
