URCS extends application deadline for social entrepreneurship and veteran business schools

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) has extended the application deadline for its social entrepreneurship and veteran business schools until the end of September. This extension applies to applicants from the Vinnytsia and Mykolaiv regions. URCS announced the extension on its Facebook page.

Both schools aim to provide participants with practical knowledge to launch or grow their own businesses. They offer mentorship, business plan development, and financial planning courses. The Veteran Business School specifically focuses on entrepreneurship fundamentals, financial management, marketing, and sales.

Upon completing the Veteran Business School, participants can receive a grant of up to EUR 3,000 to start, restart, or expand their businesses. The Social Entrepreneurship School, on the other hand, helps those wishing to create businesses that positively impact communities or address social issues. Successful graduates can receive a grant of up to EUR 12,500 to implement their social business projects.

The training programs are part of the Support for Veteran Reintegration in Ukraine initiative, a collaboration between the Ukrainian Red Cross, the Danish Red Cross, and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The International Management Institute provides the educational component of the program.
