UK-based Nigerian jailed 44 weeks for masturbating before woman

A Nigerian man, identified as Babatunde Odutola, has been sentenced to 44 weeks in prison in the United Kingdom after pleading guilty to outraging public decency and breaching a suspended sentence order. According to British Transport Police, Odutola was apprehended on Manchester Piccadilly railway station for allegedly engaging in explicit behavior and displaying aggressive actions towards a lone woman passenger.

The arresting officers were alerted to the incident on September 13 and Odutola, who had no fixed address, was taken into custody at the station. In court on September 14, Odutola admitted to one charge of outraging public decency and the violation of a suspended sentence order, resulting in his 44-week prison term. Detective Constable Leonidas Christoforou, who characterized Odutola as "an incredibly dangerous individual," emphasized the terrifying nature of his actions on the vulnerable victim who had been singled out while alone.

The evidence against Odutola included CCTV footage and witness testimonies, leading to his guilty plea in court. The British Transport Police concluded the case within 72 hours of the investigation due to their prompt response, attributing the swift resolution to their effective handling of the report.
