Two arrested in Adamawa over theft from Bamanga Tukur’s farm

Two men have been apprehended in Adamawa State for allegedly stealing irrigation pipes from the farm of late Bamanga Tukur, according to the Adamawa State Police Command. This occurred less than a week following Tukur's passing. The suspects, Ibrahim Mohammed and Jemilu Yahaya, were taken into custody by police officers from the Kofare Divisional Police Headquarters in Yola South Local Government Area, following credible intelligence reports.

Mohammed, aged 45, and Yahaya, 28, are accused of stealing eight underground irrigation pipes worth N3 million from Tukur's farm. The investigation suggests that Mohammed obtained the pipes and subsequently sold them to Yahaya. Police recovered a Carry-go motorcycle and the stolen irrigation pipes. As the investigation progresses, the suspects remain in police custody, with plans to charge them upon completion of the inquiry.
