Trump bans CNN, MSNOW, Politico from White House, warns others

U.S. President Donald Trump has excluded CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House in a bid to combat what he perceives as propaganda and "fake news" from major news outlets. The President accused these media organizations of disseminating "fiction or lies" when covering his administration, and stated that they should not be allowed to continually write or report misinformation.

In a statement on Friday through his social media platform TruthSocial, Trump indicated that other "fake" media organizations would face a similar ban. During a press conference in the Oval Office, Trump defended his decision, arguing that a court should not permit fake news to be published daily, and that there may be other outlets to join CNN, MS NOW, and Politico in being barred from the White House.

When a reporter reminded him that every President takes an oath to uphold the Constitution, Trump clarified that his intention was not to intimidate the press but to eliminate dishonest reporting. He also criticized the Washington Post as "disgusting" and dismissed his administration's handling of the media as non-repressive. Trump further revealed that his administration had not renewed a $8 million subscription to Politico, citing the outlet's illegitimate presence in government-funded funding.
