The world’s best food photography competition is open for entries! Submit your tasty images to win the top £5,000 prize

The World Food Photography Awards, sponsored by Tenderstem® Bimi® Broccolini, are currently accepting submissions for their 2027 edition. This competition has been running for 16 years and welcomes both amateur and professional photographers to showcase their food-related photography in various styles and genres.

Entries must be submitted by Sunday 7th February 2027 and the winning photographer will receive a prize of £5,000 (GBP). All finalist images will be exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London, with a selection also displayed at Fortnum & Mason in Piccadilly, London. On 18th May 2027, the finalists will be invited to a VIP Awards Evening coinciding with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

This year, a new category has been introduced called "Feast of Flowers," inviting photographers to submit images exploring the relationship between food and flowers. Previous winners and finalists have gone on to secure lucrative professional opportunities, making the awards a highly regarded event in the photography industry.

Judging for the 2027 competition will be chaired by renowned food photographer David Loftus, with a panel of distinguished judges including Rein Skullerud, CEO of the James Beard Foundation; Tom Athron, CEO of Fortnum & Mason; and three-Michelin-starred chefs Javier and Sergio Torres from Cocina Hermanos Torres.
