The da Vinci 5 robotic surgical system, a cutting-edge innovation in medical technology, has arrived at American Hospital Dubai, a pioneer in robotic surgery in the UAE and the broader region. The hospital, recognized for its leadership in robotic-assisted care, has entered into a significant agreement with Al Naghi Medical, a prominent provider of medical devices in the UAE, to acquire this state-of-the-art device from Intuitive, the global leader in robotic surgical systems.

This acquisition underscores American Hospital Dubai's commitment to advancing surgical innovation and robotic-assisted care in the region. The hospital has been a trailblazer in adopting and advancing robotic-assisted surgery in the Middle East. The da Vinci 5 will complement the hospital's existing da Vinci systems, including the da Vinci Xi and the da Vinci SP (Single Port) robotic system, the first of its kind in the Middle East.

With over 150 enhancements, the da Vinci 5 represents the next generation of robotic-assisted surgery. Among its remarkable features is Force Feedback technology, a groundbreaking advancement that allows surgeons to detect the pressure applied to tissue, significantly improving tissue handling and enhancing recovery times. Other enhancements include higher resolution, ultra-realistic 3D imaging, computing power 10,000 times greater, and a console designed for surgeon comfort. These improvements lead to increased efficiency, precision, and reduced tissue trauma.

The expanded da Vinci robotic surgical portfolio at American Hospital Dubai will enable the hospital to cater to a wider range of surgical needs across various specialties. This capability will enhance precision in complex minimally invasive techniques and promote advanced surgical training. Through its partnerships with Intuitive and Al Naghi Medical, American Hospital Dubai is bringing world-class medical technologies to the Middle East.
