Sugar and onion prices stabilise after stock-limit curbs and buffer sales, but onion outlook stays bullish
Daily staple prices have stabilized after strong government interventions. Sugar prices have contained their rally, now ranging from forty-four to forty-nine rupees. Onion wholesale prices have also reversed by four to five rupees per kilogram. Traders remain bullish on future onion price increases due to crop delays. These price stabilizations are a result of policy measures implemented recently.
