Sisi warns against mounting conspiracy to destabilize Egypt

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi cautioned on Thursday that attempts to destabilize the nation continue to be a persistent threat, stating that the unrest experienced between 2011 and 2013 has not ceased and that covert schemes "have not stopped." During an address at the Egyptian Military Academy, Sisi emphasized that although strategies may change, the intent to dismantle the state remains constant, highlighting public awareness as the country's primary defense against ongoing challenges.

In reference to regional instability, Sisi acknowledged that multiple neighboring countries endured severe destabilization during that timeframe, but Egypt miraculously survived. He attributed the nation's survival to a divine blessing, asserting that events in the region were orchestrated and planned, placing a significant responsibility on Egypt to maintain its stability, especially considering its limited national resources.

Sisi stressed that safeguarding the state is a collective civic duty rather than a responsibility confined to any single authority or leadership figure. By framing national preservation around the presidency, he cautioned that this approach misrepresents the genuine essence of state resilience, which lies in the shared obligation of the government, institutions, and the Egyptian public.
