#SHOWBIZ: Fiza stays at helm as WHI gets total revamp

Veteran television presenter and executive producer Fiza Sabjahan has decided to stay on as the host of WHI, Malaysia's popular women's talk show, after initially planning to retire in 2026. Fiza, who has been leading the show since 2010, revealed that strong viewer support and advertiser demand played a crucial role in her decision to remain.

TV3 and TV9 Content and Audience Strategy general manager Khairunnisa Kamarulzaman confirmed Fiza's desire to step down but urged her to stay, citing her irreplaceable presence and strong pull with sponsors. WHI has undergone a major restructuring to adapt to changing media habits, with the show now airing as a one-hour program every Sunday from 2pm to 3pm.

The weekday broadcasts have been replaced by drama programming, while the essence of WHI is maintained digitally through short daily capsules. The revamped show features an all-female line-up to represent a broader cross-section of women, including Gen-Z newcomers and established personalities over 40. Fiza acknowledged that she learns valuable lessons from her younger co-hosts and is committed to mentoring the next generation of presenters.

Despite the change in lineup, Fiza reassured that WHI will continue to tackle tough societal issues and expand its community outreach, aligning with its core pillars. The show's impressive ratings and reach remain strong, with an average audience of 600,000 to 700,000 and peak episodes reaching up to two million.
