Samsung’s battery upgrades for Galaxy S27 Ultra and Pro leak – is it enough?

A new leak has revealed the battery sizes for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro, indicating some long overdue upgrades. This comes as Samsung has adopted silicon-carbon battery technology in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, though a direct confirmation has not yet been made. Regulatory leaks, sourced from GSMArena, provide insight into the rated capacities of Samsung's new flagship smartphones.

While the advertised capacity of the Galaxy S26 Ultra was 4,855 mAh, actual capacity was found to be 5,000 mAh. Therefore, with this context in mind, the Galaxy S26 Ultra had a rated capacity of 4,300 mAh and the Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to have a 700 mAh increase, a 14% step up after years of stagnation. Both devices are also listed with 60W wired charging.

However, given the advancements in silicon-carbon batteries pushing flagships to 6,000, 7,000, and even larger capacities, the Samsung's 700 mAh jump may not be enough for some. What are your thoughts? Sound off in the comments below.
