Qatar rejects Israeli media claims that Gaza aid reached Hamas

Dubai: Qatar has firmly denied allegations from Israeli media sources claiming that its humanitarian aid shipments to Gaza ended up in the hands of Hamas. In a clear statement, the International Media Office of Qatar's State affirmed that these claims were "categorically false" and that the aid was indeed directed towards Palestinian civilians through channels overseen by Israeli authorities and international partners.

The assertion comes in response to allegations promoted by far-right elements within Israel and political figures, who seek to tarnish Qatar's reputation as an alternative scapegoat for the country's own domestic issues.

Throughout the years, Qatar's humanitarian aid to Gaza has been provided in coordination with the Israeli authorities and international organizations. Financial assistance and supplies like food, medicine, and fuel have typically traveled through Israel before reaching Gaza. Qatar's aid has consistently received backing from Israeli leaders and has been distributed under various Israeli administrations, with the involvement of Israeli security agencies.

Any funding that might have reached Hamas through separate channels is unrelated to Qatar's efforts. The recent surge in such baseless accusations against Qatar appears to be part of an intensified campaign by pro-Israel media, lobbyists, lawyers, think tanks, and so-called research organizations, particularly as Israel gears up for its upcoming elections.

Qatar emphasizes that it has no interest in meddling in Israel's internal affairs, but it will not tolerate the misuse of its humanitarian efforts for political gains. Qatar continues to advocate for mediation and diplomatic solutions as the key to resolving conflicts and securing lasting peace and stability in the region.
