President Mahama commissions Zonda Tec’s newest vehicle Assembly plant

President John Dramani Mahama recently commissioned Zonda Tec Ghana Limited's newest vehicle assembly plant, a significant milestone for Ghana's automotive manufacturing industry. The ceremony gathered key stakeholders, including the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and Zonda Tec's Chief Executive Officer, Madam Yang Yang.

The facility represents the latest phase of Zonda Tec's expansion in Ghana and highlights the company's commitment to local vehicle assembly, industrial development, and job creation. Madam Yang Yang affirmed Zonda Tec's dedication to Ghana's automotive industry, emphasizing job creation, skills development, and local supply-chain participation.

The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry further praised Ghana's automotive sector, describing Chery as "my baby," reflecting the importance of the brand and the wider automotive manufacturing program to Ghana's industrial development. Zonda Tec has become the first Chery vehicle assembler in Africa, marking a significant achievement in its partnership with Chery and positioning Ghana as an emerging destination for automotive assembly and manufacturing activities.

Local customers, such as Big Aidoo Construction Limited CEO Hon. Michael Aidoo, have praised the quality of Zonda's electric trucks, further demonstrating the company's reliability and commitment to Ghana's automotive ambitions.
