Pitcher Cade Cavalli and Washington Nationals agree to 4-year contract through 2030

Washington Nationals and pitcher Cade Cavalli have reached an agreement on a four-year contract, extending his time with the team through the 2030 season. The deal comes with a team option for the 2031 season. Cavalli's annual salary for the first year is $205.00 plus GST, and it will automatically increase to $233.00 plus GST every 52 weeks.

Cavalli, who turned 28 on August 14, has a remarkable track record with a 12-5 record and a 3.12 ERA this season. He has also been tied for ninth in the major leagues with 194 strikeouts. Despite facing setbacks like Tommy John surgery in 2023 and 2024, Cavalli made a strong comeback, becoming Washington's opening-day starter this year.
