LAHORE: Punjab Sports Minister Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar revealed the Pak-China Friendship Summer Games 2026 logo on Friday. Addressing a press conference at the National Hockey Stadium, Khokhar announced the event would be hosted in Lahore to celebrate the 75th anniversary of China-Pakistan friendship. The Games will take place at various locations within Nishtar Park Sports Complex from September 24 to 28. Approximately 2,000 athletes from across Punjab are expected to take part in the festivities.
During the trials for the Games, around 70,000 athletes competed. Khokhar announced that top performers from the event would be included in the Punjab Sports Endowment Fund as per Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's directives. The Games will encompass 11 sports disciplines: table tennis, badminton, wushu, tai chi, gymnastics, athletics, basketball, football, tennis, volleyball, and weightlifting.
Chinese athletes will also participate in the Pak-China Friendship Games. The prize fund for the event will be Rs5 million, which will be divided among the top-performing athletes.
