Over 20,000 Students Expected At Rahul Gandhi’s Chhatron Ki Goonj Event In Indore, Says Congress Spokesperson Amit Chaurasia

In preparation for Rahul Gandhi's Chhatron Ki Goonj event in Indore, the Madhya Pradesh Congress anticipates participation from over 20,000 students, according to party spokesperson Amit Chaurasia. Chaurasia stated that the event has garnered strong interest from students across the city, with discussions planned around education, employment opportunities, and youth concerns.

Approximately 20% to 25% of registered students are expected to attend the event on Saturday, with Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, set to interact with attendees to address their education-related issues. The Chhatron Ki Goonj program, organized by the Congress as part of its student outreach campaign, aims to tackle various issues including education systems, examinations, job prospects, and future opportunities for young Indians.

The party has engaged in several activities leading up to the event, such as music sessions, jamming programs, and outreach initiatives at educational institutions. However, Chaurasia alleged that the municipal administration is creating obstacles for the Congress event and expressed concerns about potential false cases being filed against organizers.

Separately, a viral dance video linked to the Chhatron Ki Goonj event has drawn objections from the BJP, who claimed the women in the video were professional performers and not students. The Congress clarified that the individuals in the video were indeed professional performers who participated in a promotional event held in the Bhanwarkuan area of Indore on Thursday night, part of the entertainment activities preceding the Rahul Gandhi student event.
