Nkawkaw Stadium: I’ve submitted all documents; let me know if you need anything else – Bryan Acheampong to NSA boss

Bryan Acheampong, the Abetifi Member of Parliament, has informed the National Sports Authority (NSA) boss, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, that he has submitted all the necessary documentation for the construction of the Nkawkaw Stadium. Acheampong explained that the project, which was initiated under the previous NPP administration, faced financial difficulties and was abandoned by the initial contractor.

The contractor, Madam Hawa, later released the equipment to Acheampong so that he could continue the construction. He submitted the required documents to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), which approved the arrangement. Acheampong then engaged NSA's Director-General and deputy to reach an understanding to proceed with the project.

Despite preparations for the NSA boss to attend the ceremony, he did not arrive as expected. Construction resumed with contractors deployed to the site, and significant work was undertaken, including grading the stadium and importing black soil. However, NSA requested additional documentation to ensure Acheampong would not claim ownership of the facility after completion.

Acheampong has no intention to take over and is willing to sign any undertaking required by the NSA to address their concerns.
